# Auction Events

An auction event groups auction items under a shared schedule. Each item starts at the time of the event, and end either at the same time or on a staggered schedule. Each event has a **status** of `scheduled`, `active`, or `completed`.

The **staggerClose** object describes how listings close. When enabled, listings close in groups of **interval**, with **seconds** between each group.
